So I know a Motion Person called Peter Quinn, I even sat beside him once for more than a day. The thing is, as nice as he is. Peedy is one of those annoying types who does a new creation every day, which made me envious and happy he was working with me all at the same time.
Thankfully Mr. Quinn has bottled his essence (if you can do that in Mograph, I am sure Realfow may be required) in these two excellent script add-ons for After Effects. First up is PQ MO•BITS. Which is a great selection of editable Icons which are animated and can be added to a project via a handy browser.
The second and potentially more useful is the new PQ FUI Toys 2, a set of UI enhancements. These are a godsend if you need a resource of generic funky UI abstract ‘things’ and are pushed for time.
When a comp is loaded there is a master layer which contains sliders to adjust attributes, and if you need to go deeper in terms of customisation, at the end of the day, these are just comps, so can be deconstructed to your hearts desire.
Here is aforementioned Mr. Quinn looking all Cool with a cuppa explaining his latest creation.
If nothing else, add-ons like these are great as useful primers for creating this kind of work for yourself.
PQ MO•Bits is $60 and PQ FUI Toys 2 is a steal at $50 and are both available at aescripts.
